DJ Kitsune at Red Bull Thre3Style 2015

After performing a furious set at the 2014Red Bull Thre3Style National Championship, DJ Kitsune returns to the german national finals of what has quickly become the world’s most anticipated and influential dj competition. Bringing together outstanding djs from all genres to have them going head to head in a 15-minute performance, the Thre3Style challenge is a one of a kind event and yet the most crowd appealing dj championship at the same time. While skills, originality and creativity are essential for putting together a unique set, it all comes down to who rocks the crowd and can impress the judges with a great performance, state-of-the-art djing and true showmanship. The 2015 National Finals take place on Friday, April 17th in DJ Kitsune’s hometown of Frankfurt, Germany. The winner will advance to the World Finals in Tokyo in hopes to defend the world championship title who is currently held by german superstar dj Eskei83.

DJ Kitsune x Nike House Of Phenomenal

photoThis saturday June 7th, DJ Kitsune and his fellow BSTN Soundsystem team member DJ Dime head up to Berlin for a very special DJ workshop with 28 kids as part of Nike’s global “Risk Everything” campaign. Since the whole day is organized in a joint venture with Munich based streetwear brand Beastin (“Beastin Invitational”), the BSTN Soundsystem tag team also plays two live shows to during the course of the day before closing the night with a final set for the official after party.

T-No produces new video single for Harris

260277_210614892313936_562415_nHamburg-based producer and songwriter T-No has produced a brand new video single for german rap star Harris that features cameo appearances by german club scene and dj stars like Eskei83, DJ Kitsune, DJane Tereza, Clay-369 and DJ Ice-C. The video was financed, produced and organized by legendary party promoters “House-Verbot” of Frankfurt local fame, who have been putting together some of the biggest party and club events of the past years, in order to promote their activities and the local urban art and club scene.

DJ Kitsune x Stay.com collaboration

While Kitsune’s recommendations solely focus on clubs, bars and concert venues, Stay.com regularly features celebrities and artists to highlight some of their very personal hometown must-sees, far beyond the usual tourist attractions but not necessarily excluding these. Future collaborations between DJ Kitsune and Stay.com are in the making.

Teesy & DJ Kitsune x Adidas x Splash! Mag

Promoted by Run DMC & A-Trak, Bartek, Eskei83, Teesy and DJ Kitsune, newcomer artists in Germany are asked to perform a 15 second Instagram video on the original “Unite All Originals” beat by A-Trak. The winner will be rewarded with the opportunity to perform live at the Fantastic Blockparty at the 2013 Berlin Music Week. This campaign also kicks off a newly-founded cooperation between global powerhouse brand Adidas and up-an-coming artist Teesy.

DJ Kitsune x Def Jam Rapstar

djrgamescomDJ Kitsune was requested to play special showcases for the Gamescom trade show of “Def Jam Rapstar”, a new interactive video game that let’s you perform over 30 of the greatest hip hop songs of all times including songs from The Notorious B.I.G., Public Enemy, Run DMC, Drake or Lil Wayne. In addition to that, several top-notch producers were hired to add exclusive content to the game including Just Blaze and DJ Premier. In cooperation with Sureshots Marketing & Promotions and 4mm Games New York, the highly-in-demand Def Jam Rapstar booth at the Gamescom (world’s biggest video game trade show) in Cologne also featured live appearances by rap stars Olli Banjo, Azad, Marteria and Das Bo.

DJ Kitsune ist Teil von “Percussion Mania”

output_image-2Am 26. Februar lichtet sich der Vorhang für die diesjährige Ausgabe des Music Discovery Projects, initiiert und veranstaltet vom Sinfonieorchester des Hessischen Rundfunk. Unter dem Motto “Percussion Mania” trifft dabei DJ Kitsune auf das überaus renommierte hr-Sinfonieorchester, Multiperkussionist Martin Grubinger, Blumentopf, Hila Bronstein und die Band DePhazz. Unter musikalischer Leitung und Organisation von Manfred Honetschläger und Dirigent Frank Strobel werden dabei nicht nur klassische Stücke wie Igor Strawinskys “Der Feuervogel” oder Edgard Varèses “Ionisation für 13 Schlagzeuger” auf der Bühne der Frankfurter Jahrhunderthalle umgesetzt. DJ Kitsune präsentiert unter Einbringung des gesamten Orchesters, Sänger und Band eine Zeitreise durch die letzten 30 Jahre Club-Musik, arrangiert und aufgeführt wie eben nur ein DJ dies kann und begleitet Blumentopf bei ihrer Performance mit den Symphonikern an den Plattenspielern.

Dabei ist DJ Kitsune nach Tom Wax, Mousse T. und Paul Van Dyk nun der erste HipHop-DJ, der mit dem hr-Sinfonieorchester arbeitet. Der HipHop-typische Scratch-Background und sein enger Kontakt zu Club-Musik sollen sich dabei maßgeblich in seinen Performances mit Orchester, Band, den Rappern von Blumentopf und Hila Bronstein wiederfinden.
